Discussion Chapter 13

Q For each chapter you must create 2 discussion board posts: (1) Your own take on the reading. Write this post after you have read the assigned textbook chapter and (when the case) completed the other class activities. Option A. Make one or two well-thought points to demonstrate your critical reading of the chapter assigned for this week. These posts can take the form of questions that you debate with yourself (I wonder if/why... Could this be...), comments, or points of contention (I am not sure I agree with... I don't see why it is useful to consider leadership in this way...). Feel free and encouraged to use examples and anecdotes from real life to make your point (your own leadership experiences – situations when you were a leader or when you experienced someone else's leadership). Fictional situations from movies/TV series are also acceptable and appreciated. Hypothetical examples work well too. While relatively brief, these posts should be clearly written and logically organized. Don't convey an opinion but construct an argument. Option B. Alternatively, this could be a deep self-reflection in relation to the reading. If you choose this option, consider the following questions: What did I learn? What insights did I gain? How has my thinking been changed? What do I think about where I am and what I have learned? What will I do differently in the future? What new role/actions do I plan to try/take? Use examples and anecdotes from your experience to make your point (your own leadership experiences – situations when you were a leader or when you experienced someone else's leadership). These posts should be at least 250 words. (2) A reaction to one of your peers' posts (a peer response). Choose one of your peers' posts and write a paragraph as a response to / reflection on his or her comments.

Efficient Leadership cannot always be delivered on every stance; there are several improvisations that need to be made depending upon the gravity of the situation. In times of crisis the leaders are expected to lead in a more challenged way as it will be a question on their retention, training and developmental skills that they have acquired in due course of time. It has been observed in several situations that the lack of learning opportunities have posed numerous obstacles in the course of discharging responsibilities. Young members have often looked up for positions where they will get to face the challenges and encouragements to increase their set of skills.
